AMERICAN MUSEUM CENTER CHICAGO
The founder, Kurt Mathisson, started his little
museum at Clark St 1976, opened by
King Carl Gustaf XVI of Sweden April 19. 1988
King Carl Gustaf, accompaned by Qween Silvia, reopened the Museum in a new,
much larger space at 5211 N. Clark ST. The Executive
Director, Staff ,Board and Supporters continue and develope his vision of a
Swedish American Museum Center in Chicago.
